Boulder, CO, USA – April 23, 2019 – Electric Tobacconist USA, a top vaping retailer operating a popular online vape store, and leading vape manufacturer Totally Wicked have announced the signing of a strategic partnership that will see Totally Wicked’s vape hardware and e-liquid range sold exclusively on Electric Tobacconist’s site.
The deal comes as the vaping sector in the United States comes under increasing scrutiny from federal authorities such as the Food and Drug Administration, which under its former commissioner, Scott Gottlieb, sought to limit access to most types of flavored e-liquid over fears of youth vaping. The regulator currently has an interim leader, Dr. Ned Sharpless, while it searches for a replacement commissioner.
Totally Wicked, which also operates an online vape store and in excess of 150 Totally Wicked vape shops in the United Kingdom, where the company originates, had also operated numerous brick-and-mortar stores in Florida as well as serving customers via its website. However, regulatory moves by federal agencies forced Totally Wicked’s management to reluctantly decide to cease their US sales operations.
Changing a Business Model
Looking to ensure it could maintain supply to its thousands of loyal US customers, Totally Wicked began discussions with Electric Tobacconist USA, one of the main online vape stores operating in the US. The result of those discussions was an agreement that Electric Tobacconist USA would become the exclusive seller of Totally Wicked products via its online store, said Bruce Gibson, Electric Tobacconist’s US CEO.

Like Totally Wicked, Electric Tobacconist USA is also active in the British and wider European market and is headquartered in Luton, England. The US entity is operated from Boulder, Colorado, processing and fulfilling orders in the United States. With low prices and free shipping on orders over certain amounts in the UK, continental Europe, and the US, Electric Tobacconist has grown dramatically in recent years as demand for e-cigarettes as an effective smoking-cessation method has grown. The firm is currently marking 1 million orders sent globally.
There are now at least 3 million adults who actively vape in Britain and more than 10 million in the United States, according to figures from health authorities and recent surveys. Research from Public Health England, the top health body in the country, says vaping is almost 95% safer compared to smoking, a figure that has captured media headlines and is helping to propel the trend away from tobacco and towards e-cigarettes. Around 7 million people lose their lives in tobacco-related deaths around the world each year, nearly 1 million of whom die as a result of exposure to second-hand smoke, according to the World Health Organisation.
Sticking with American Vapers
Totally Wicked’s Managing Director, Fraser Cropper, said that while his company, which manufactures a wide range of vape gear and supplies, including the company’s popular Patriot, Red Label, and Titan lines, is no longer selling directly in the American market, this does not mean they are forsaking their US customer base.

The Totally Wicked US website remains online but now redirects to the Electric Tobacconist USA online vape store.
