No matter the season or the time of year Olde Mistick Village is the perfect place to visit. Whether you want to take a stroll, go shopping, see a movie, go out to eat, or just see the ducks this fun and unique place is a must. Olde Mistick Village has been a staple in Mystic for locals and visitors since 1973. It is always in season whether it is cold and snowing, wicked hot, encountering a spring rain, or a fall breeze. The Village is also pet friendly, so bring your pup to come explore and enjoy the sights.

There are a lot of places to visit in the Village so we have broken it down to the Top 10 Places to Visit. This list includes dining options, shopping, and other activities.

Dining Options

  • Jealous Monk:

This is not your typical drinks hall, the Jealous Monk is a unique interpretation of a classic European drinks hall and garden. They feature a creative menu with burgers, pretzels, house-made sausages, and more. Theres a pretzel charcuterie board that is unique and delicious. On the beverage side they offer different drinks. This one of a kind atmosphere is perfect for a night out, a work function, brunch, or just a fun hang. Jealous Monk also offers a variety of board games, pinball, and old school video games. If you need anymore convincing they have a beautiful outdoor garden with picnic tables, yard games, and a unique fire pit.

They are open Monday – Thursday from 12pm to 8pm | Friday & Saturday from 12pm to 9pm | Sunday from 10:30am to 8pm (Sunday Brunch from 10:30 – 2pm)

  • Deviant Donuts:

This is Mystic’s unique coffee and handcrafted donut shop. These donuts are like no other! They are not only made from scratch but offer fun and crazy flavors and designs. You can find new flavors and designs regularly in the shop. Every Monday they update their Instagram page and website with flavors of the week. They also offer fresh hand pulled espressos, cappuccinos, specialty lattes, drip coffees, and chai. They also offer cold beverages like cold brew coffee, and “blended with ice” coffee frappes.

They are open daily from 7:30am to 5pm, or until they are sold out.

  • Mango’s Wood Fired Pizza Co: 

This is not your usual pizza joint. Mango’s as rated the Best Pizza in Southeastern CT by Connecticut Magazine. Family owned and operated by local brothers, Mango’s is authentic, hand made, and baked in a wood-fired oven. They offer unique pizza flavors as well as traditional options perfect for everyone. You can even watch them prepare your pizza from their open kitchen. Mango’s might have pizza in the name but they also offer salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and craft beers. You can enjoy your meal inside their rustic dining room and bar room, or head outside to their large patio that overlooks the Village. They do offer curbside delivery and take out options if you don’t want to dine in.

Serving lunch and dinner daily they are open from Sunday – Thursday 11am to 8pm and Friday & Saturday from 11am – 9pm.

  • Mango’s Ice Cream:

This ice joint is actually the sister restaurant to Mango’s Wood-Fired Pizza Co. Just like their pizza, their ice cream is homemade and old fashioned. They are constantly changing their menu so it is always something different to try and enjoy. You can get your ice cream is cups, cones, in a real milkshake, a sundae, or an ice cream sandwich. Come for the ice cream and stay for the scratch baked cookies.
